Urban Phonetics Phrases Communication Regression

There’s been a live-transmission from Nuremberg to London this evening for Cybersonica’s Soundwaves Artist Talk at Kinetica Museum. The short speech introduced some critical politic statements regarding free speech for the speechless.

Dr. Richard Barbrook introduced and chaired the session; Cybersonica 07 Commissioned Artists Andy Huntingdon (tap.TAP), Michael Markert (kII 2.1) and Julie Freeman (Specious Dialogue) talked about their work and share their artistic philosophies and approaches to working with sound.

The speech output in the video is generated by gestures. The phonemes are produced by the Mac OS X speech engine with a kIII sensory device connected.
