Hey guys, I’ve made a sketch in Processing using minim library and I’d like to run it via Procoder. How could I make it work?

    Hi Franz,

you can add sound with JavaScript, but not with processing/Java code. So you’ll lose interoperatibility, except if you wrap the JavaScript code and inject that in processingjs (which is some work and you’ll need advanced JS knowledge, that’s probably why no one has done it yet).

I see that there is a video tutorial on vimeo (haven’t watched it though):

With HTML and JS it’s really easy, basically you just add a <audio> tag, get a reference with JS and then you can call myFile.play(). Note though that all sound must be triggered by user touch events on Mobile Safari (no autoload, no autoplay without user interaction).

…If it’s a simple sketch it might also be easy to translate it to JavaScript: Because adding sound in Procoding with JS sketches is super easy with the resource manager injecting most of the code and even inserting relevant code snippets for you (see MosquitoSquash demo)

    Hope this helps,
